Birthday parties, event planning and beverage catering involves planning the proper amount of drinks served and consumed by your guests.

A Root Beer keg is the equivalent of a half-barrel, containing 15.5 gallons of beer. It weighs up to 180 pounds at capacity and about 30 pounds empty, which breaks down to around 1,980 ounces. Per-glass quantities will vary depending on the amount of foam, however 12-oz cups will yield about 200-220 drinks. That is equal to seven cases of root beer bottles.

*Note: $100 deposit required at time of Keg pick-up, which will be refunded upon return of keg equipment.

Other Root Beer keg sizes include the quarter keg, which holds around 80 12-oz cup servings and the 1/6 Pony that holds about 50 12-ounce cup servings.
